Yarrow Leaf & Flowers
Whether an amateur, or an expert––all herbal enthusiasts should consider adding yarrow into their home apothecary. This bountiful herb grows in diverse climates, happily sprouting in the sunshine or in the shade. Yarrow’s versatility extends beyond its capacity to grow anywhere and is as happy in the kitchen where the fresh herb is said to be a great addition to salads or steamed vegetables.
Yarrow leaf and flowers may support a healthy cardiovascular system and support normal, healthy liver function. Yarrow may be used as an infusion, juice, essential oil, powder, and tincture.
Do not use yarrow during pregnancy or breast feeding. Those with allergies to members of the Asteraceae family should either avoid its use or immediately cease use should allergic reactions such as itching and inflammatory changes to the skin appear.
